The tour was sponsored by the tle department. The tour is destined to camarines norte. The main objective of the tour is to let the students know the different livelihood/agricultural projects done and destinations in camarines norte.
As early as 6am students rushed to CSNHS liboton annex to look for their buses. A total of 11 buses or estimated more than 550 students joined the educational tour to camarines norte. By the 7:20am the long wait is over the buses started their engines and off we go.
the travel took about 1 and a half hour till we reached our first destination. The first destination was in basud national high school, there the principal welcomed us by introducing and telling some of the features of the school. .
The second destination was in tinapa making in mercedez, daet. There students saw the process of tinapa making is called steam blanching. Where the fresh fishes are rinsed and dried under the sun for more than an hour. Then, they are plunged and boiled in a large pan filled with water and salt. It takes about 4 to 6 hours in making these tinapas (according to a worker in the factory).
After visiting 2 destinations, by 12;20pm we were at bagasbas beach. There we took our lunch. We also took pictures in the beach.
After taking our lunch and picture takings we are off again to travel. We only passed by the ostrich farm. There we saw not only ostriches but also horses and other farm animals. Then our next destination is at the Camarines norte state college agricultural center. There we saw projects made by the students of CNSC regarding agriculture (especially vermiculture).
Then lastly, we went again to basud, camarines norte there we bought pineapple products such as tarts and empanadas for snacks or pasalubong.
After buying pasalubong, by 4:15pm students were ready to go home. while traveling back to naga, students talked about what happened this day. Before 7pm the buses reached csnhs liboton and students went home with smiles on their faces.
